Lee Seed Farm has a sister company Lee Bean & Seed, Inc. that specializes in purchasing and processing Dry Edible Beans.  Founded in 1963 by Herman Lee, Lee Bean was the third plant constructed in the Red River Valley to handle edible beans. Over the years our focus has changed with the times. Originally pinto beans were the mainstay of the business. In the mid 1980's navy beans were the predominant variety, and today black beans are our largest market.
In addition to black beans, we continue to handle pinto and navy beans as the market allows.
We have also been active buyers and sellers of food grade soybeans. Typically these are specific varieties of clear hilum, non-gmo soybeans which meet specific needs in the sprout, natto, and tofu markets of the Pacific Rim.
Lee Bean & Seed Inc. is a licensed and bonded elevator. We offer western grown seed, grower contracts, dependable markets, and bonded storage.
